Amudha Metal Stores

Amudha Metal Stores is right here in Pattabiram. We are a small metal shop and it’s a very basic store where we sell all sorts of metal items. The shop has been a part of this community for a long time now. We don't have a fancy building or anything, just a simple storefront where we keep our stock. The shelves are packed with everything from small screws to larger metal sheets. It’s a bit of a maze inside because we try to fit as much as possible into the space. The floor is concrete and often has bits of metal or dust on it. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is. People from all over Pattabiram come to us when they need something specific. We don't do any big marketing; we just rely on people knowing we are here. The shop can get quite warm in the summer, so we usually have a small radio playing to keep us company while we work. It’s a very hands-on job, moving heavy things around and helping customers find what they need. We don't have a computer system for the stock; we just know what we have by looking at the shelves. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing business, but it works for us. We just take things one day at a time and try to be helpful to everyone who stops by the store.
