Perfect Uniforms

Perfect Uniforms is located on Mmda Main Road in Arumbakkam, right on the Oond Floor of the C-54 building. It’s a very busy part of Chennai, and the noise from the traffic downstairs is something we’ve just gotten used to over time. When you walk into our space, the first thing you notice is the fabric. There are rolls of cloth everywhere, mostly in blues, whites, and greys, stacked up against the walls. We have several sewing machines running throughout the day, so there’s a constant rhythmic humming sound in the background. It gets quite warm, especially with all the machines and the Chennai humidity, but we have enough fans to keep things moving. We spend a lot of our day measuring, cutting, and checking the stitching on various uniforms. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually busy with threads and buttons. During the school season or when local companies order new sets, it gets really hectic around here. We try to keep things organized, but when there are dozens of half-finished shirts and trousers around, it can look a bit messy. Our team knows exactly where everything is, though. We aren’t trying to be a high-end fashion boutique; we just make sturdy clothes that people need for school or work. It’s practical, honest work, and we’ve been doing it at this Arumbakkam spot for quite a while now.
