J K Foam

We have been running J K Foam here in Kellys for a good number of years now. Our shop is right on Purasaiwalkam High Road, and if you know the area, you know how packed it gets near the bus stop. We have an old address and a new one, but most people just find us by looking for the stacks of foam rolls near the door. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we keep a lot of stock. We spend most of the morning cutting pieces of foam for people who want to fix their old chairs or get a new bed made. It gets pretty dusty with all the bits of sponge flying around, so we are always sweeping. The noise from the buses outside is constant, but you get used to it after a while. Sometimes customers come in confused about the new house number, but we tell them just look for the Kellys stop and you can’t miss us. It is just a regular shop where we do our work and try to keep things organized. We don't have fancy displays or anything, just rows of different thicknesses of foam and some basic mattress stuff. Usually, we're busy with local tailors or people from the neighborhood who need something specific. By evening, the traffic is at its worst, and we just wait for things to quiet down before closing up for the night. It is a long day, but we just take it as it comes.
