Blog Uniforms is based at No 54, Godown Street. If you’ve ever been to Godown Street, you know it’s a narrow place filled with rolls of cloth and people moving fast. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. Our space is filled with fabric, sewing machines, and finished uniforms waiting to be picked up. It isn't a quiet office. There’s always the sound of stitching or someone cutting patterns. We make uniforms for all sorts of places, from schools to small shops. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. Most of our work comes from people who know us or walk by the shop. The shelves are usually overflowing with different colors of cloth. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and making sure the sizes are right. Sometimes we run out of a certain color and have to scramble to find more. It’s just a small team of us here, and we all know our jobs. Godown Street can be a bit overwhelming with all the noise and the crowds, but we like the energy of it. We open early and usually stay late to finish up the day’s work. It’s a simple, honest business. We just make clothes that people need for their jobs and their schools, and we do it right here. It’s a lot of work, but we manage.
