Khamakhone Multimedia

Khamakhone Multimedia is based at New No.35, Krishnasamy Avenue in Mylapore. Mylapore is such a vibrant part of the city, and being on Krishnasamy Avenue means we are surrounded by old houses and plenty of trees. The office is actually a converted residential space, so it has a very homey feel to it. We have a small garden area out front that we try to keep neat, though the local goats sometimes get in and eat the plants. Inside, the rooms are divided into different edit suites and workspaces. It’s often a bit dark inside because we keep the curtains drawn to see the monitors better for the multimedia work. You can usually hear the faint sound of music or video clips being played back over and over. We have a little kitchen where we brew some of the best coffee in the neighborhood, or at least we like to think so. There’s no formal dress code here; most of us just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the screens. It is a quiet street for the most part, except when there is a festival at the temple nearby and the whole area fills up with music and people. We like the balance of the creative work and the traditional feel of the Mylapore streets. It’s a bit of an old-school way of working, but it suits us just fine and keeps the pressure low.
