Jay Ma Jay Travel Services

Our office is over at Gee Gee Minar on College Road. If you know the Nungambakkam area, you know it gets incredibly crowded around here during the workday. Jay Ma Jay Travel Services is basically just a few of us sitting at our desks, surrounded by stacks of papers and phones that do not seem to stop ringing. We spend a lot of time looking at flight schedules and trying to figure out the best train routes for people. It is a small space, specifically unit number 4, but we make it work for what we need. Some days it feels like everyone in the city is trying to go somewhere else at the exact same time. We handle the bookings and try to keep things organized so nobody runs into trouble when they finally reach the airport. It is not always smooth, because sometimes the systems lag or a flight gets canceled without any warning, but we stay on top of it. We have been at this address for a bit, and we have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We usually have our tea together in the afternoon while we wait for the next batch of emails to arrive. It is just regular office work, really. Dealing with passports and hotel vouchers is what fills our hours. People come in to pick up their tickets and we chat for a minute before they head back out.
