We've been here at Ankur Plaza for a while now. Most people know the spot because it's right near Vani Mahal on G N Chetty Road. Dealing with wood and designing spaces keeps us busy throughout the week. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty when we're working on new layouts, but that's just how it goes. T Nagar is always crowded, so getting things in and out through the traffic is a challenge we face daily. We handle various interior things under the Live In Style and Touch Wood Designers names. Usually, it's just us figuring out how to make a room look decent without overcomplicating it. Customers stop by after running other errands in the market. It’s a small shop, number 9, so it’s not hard to find if you’re looking. We don’t have any fancy sales pitches here. We just show what we have and explain how the wood works. Some days are slow, others we can barely keep up with the calls. The weather in Chennai doesn't help much, especially in the afternoons. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the samples pile up. If you're walking past the plaza, you'll see us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Shops come and go, but we’re still here doing our thing. It’s mostly about getting the job done right and making sure the measurements are correct so nothing wobbles later on. That is basically all there is to us.
