L. P. W. Foundry

L. P. W. Foundry is located at Plot No. 62-C in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. If you’ve ever walked around the estate, you know it smells like grease, hot metal, and hard work. That’s exactly what it’s like inside our gates. It’s a noisy place most of the time. There is no point trying to have a quiet conversation when the machines are running. We’ve been at this plot for a long time now, and the walls are stained with the kind of dust you only find in a foundry. It’s not a clean job, but it’s what we do. The floor is mostly dirt and concrete, and we don’t worry about keeping things looking shiny. Our focus is on the actual work and making sure things get finished. The guys on the floor know their way around the equipment better than anyone. We take breaks when we can, usually sitting on whatever is available in the shade. Ambattur is a tough place to work in the peak of summer because the heat from the furnaces adds to the sun, but nobody complains much. It’s just how it is. We don’t have a big marketing team or anyone writing fancy brochures. If someone wants to know what we do, they usually just come by the gate and ask. It’s a local operation, and we like keeping it that way. Most of us live a short bike ride away.
