Dhanu Steels

Dhanu Steels is located at number 20 on the 200 Feet Inner Ring Road in Madhavaram. This is a very busy area with massive trucks passing by at all hours of the day and night. The ground actually vibrates when the heavy trailers go past. Our yard is filled with piles of steel rods, sheets, and pipes. Everything is heavy and usually covered in a thin layer of grit from the road. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading these materials using old cranes and manual labor. It is a hot place to work, especially when the sun beats down on the metal. We have a small cabin with a desk where we handle the paperwork, but most of the time we are outside in the yard. Our clothes are always stained with rust and grease. The noise from the Ring Road makes it hard to talk sometimes, so we have to shout to be heard. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. It’s just a practical site for moving steel. We keep a big water cooler in the corner because everyone gets thirsty from the heavy lifting. The gate is wide so the trucks can get in easily, but it’s a struggle to close it at the end of the day. We just focus on the weights and the counts, making sure everything is where it should be. It is rough work, but it keeps us busy in Madhavaram.
