Astrotech Steels

Astrotech Steels is based in the Nungambakkam area, specifically on the 2nd Floor of Ghatala Towers. Being at 19 Avenue RoadNungambakkam means we are right in the middle of a lot of daily activity. The building is a bit older, but it serves its purpose for our office work. Since we deal with steel, it might seem strange to be on the second floor, but this is where all the planning and the phone calls happen. Most of the actual metal is stored elsewhere, but here we handle the invoices and the scheduling. The view from the window is mostly just the tops of trees and the traffic moving slowly down the road. It’s a busy street, and sometimes the noise of the horns makes it hard to hear on the phone when the window is open. We have a small crew here. Everyone has their own desk, and there are always stacks of catalogs and metal samples lying around. Sometimes the lift in Ghatala Towers acts up, and we have to take the stairs, which isn't much fun in the summer. We don't spend much time on decorations; we just have what we need to get the day's tasks finished. It’s a practical space for our business. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the office can get a little messy with blueprints and orders everywhere. We just focus on getting the work done by the end of the day.
