Sunil Kapoor

I work out of an office at 509 Ashoka Road, which is part of the Patiala House area. It's very close to India Gate, so the surroundings are quite grand with all the old trees and wide roads, but the traffic can be really bad during peak hours. My space is more of a professional setup where I handle legal or administrative matters. It’s a historic part of Delhi, and the buildings have a lot of character, even if they sometimes feel a bit cramped inside. I’ve been here for a long time, and you get used to the rhythm of the courts and the lawyers moving around. It’s not a place for flashy signs or loud advertising. People come to see me because they have specific needs that require a bit of experience and patience. The office is filled with books and stacks of files that seem to grow every month. I don't have a big team of people; it’s mostly just me and a couple of assistants making sure the schedules are kept. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing out documents. Sometimes I take a walk towards India Gate just to get some air when things get too busy. It’s a very traditional way of working, focusing on the details and talking through things with anyone who comes in. It’s simple, honest work in a very famous part of the city.
