My office is at 415 Tilak Marg, inside the New Lawyers Chamber at the Supreme Court. It is a small space, mostly filled with stacks of files and books that go all the way to the ceiling. If you have ever been to the Supreme Court chambers, you know how busy it gets. People are always rushing through the hallways with black robes on. I spend most of my day here reading through papers or talking to clients. It is not a quiet place at all. You can hear the noise from the other offices through the walls. I have been practicing law for a while now, and this room has seen a lot of long nights. The desk is usually a mess because there is always another case to look at. Sometimes I drink too much tea while going through documents. It is a lot of reading and writing. The building itself is old and has that specific smell of old paper and ink. Navigating the Supreme Court complex can be a bit of a maze if you aren't used to it. I try to stay organized but with so much work coming in, it’s a struggle. It is just a regular law office where we deal with real problems. No fancy decorations here, just the things needed to do the job properly. I like being close to the courtrooms though. It makes the daily commute much easier for me.
