Alok Sangwan

I work out of a small office at 18 Bengali Market, situated on Todarmal Road. It’s a well-known spot in Delhi, mostly because of the good food shops nearby, so there’s always a nice smell of sweets and snacks in the air. My name is Alok Sangwan, and this is where I handle all my business. The office itself is nothing special. It’s got a couple of old wooden chairs for visitors and a desk that is usually buried under a mountain of papers and folders. I try to stay organized, but it’s a constant battle with all the documents that come in every day. The phone rings a lot, and I spend a good portion of my time just talking to people and trying to sort out their problems. It’s a bit of a trek from where I park my car, and the walk can be a bit much when it’s raining, but the neighborhood is quite pleasant overall. I’ve been at this address for a while now, and the people in the other offices nearby are all familiar faces. We don't have any fancy corporate stuff here. It’s just a practical workspace where I can focus on getting things done. Some days are slow and I can read the paper, but most days are just a steady stream of tasks. I don’t use any big slogans. I just do my work, answer my messages, and try to be helpful to anyone who comes in.
