Rajender Gupta

My name is Rajender Gupta. I’ve been here at 55 Tilak Marg for quite a while now. People usually find me in the Lawyers Chambers most days of the week. It gets busy around here with all the court activity, but that’s just how it goes. I started out doing this because I wanted to help people navigate the messy parts of the legal system. It’s not always easy and the paperwork can really pile up on my desk. I don’t have a big fancy team or anything like that. It’s mostly just me and a bit of help. When you come by the chamber, you’ll see books everywhere. I try to stay organized, but sometimes the files get a life of their own. Tilak Marg is a central spot, so it’s easy for folks to get to. I spend a lot of time reading through documents and drinking tea. I think it’s important to just listen to what people are going through. Legal stuff is confusing for most, and I try to explain things in a way that makes sense. Sometimes I’m at the court, and other times I’m just sitting here working. It’s a steady life. I don’t put up big signs or anything. People just hear about me from someone else and show up. That works fine for me. I’ve lived in this city a long time and seen how things change. But this office stays pretty much the same.
