You can find Roshan Lal Tandoor Wala at 3747, Street Kumharan. We are right near the old Ice Factory in the Old Subzi Mandi area. It’s a very old part of town, and the streets are quite narrow and crowded. You have to be careful walking around because there’s always someone moving something or a cart passing by. We’ve been here for years, and everyone around here knows us. Our workshop is where we build the tandoors. It’s a hot and dusty job, but it’s what we do. There’s mud and clay everywhere because that’s what goes into a good tandoor. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just come to the street and ask for us. The building itself is quite old, and we haven't done much to change it over the years. It works for us. We start early in the morning before it gets too hot, though it’s always warm near the kilns. We aren't some big factory with machines doing all the work. It’s mostly done by hand, the way it’s always been. It’s a bit messy and loud, but that’s the nature of the business. We just keep making them and people keep coming to buy them. It’s a simple life here in the mandi. We have been in this exact street for generations and hope to stay.
