Down in Darya Ganj, at Kamra Bangash, you will find our small setup. It’s an old part of town with narrow lanes and a lot of history in the walls. We have been doing catering for local families for years. Our kitchen is tucked away at number 814. It’s not a place where you will find fancy machines or uniforms. We use big iron pans and wooden spoons because that’s what we know. Most of the people who work here live just a few streets away. When there’s a local festival or a small wedding in the neighborhood, we get busy. We don’t really go out looking for work; the neighbors just come by and tell us what they need. Sometimes we handle the serving, other times people just take the food in large containers. It can get very hot in the kitchen during the summer, but we are used to it by now. Darya Ganj has its own rhythm. We buy our spices and vegetables from the local markets nearby. We know the vendors, and they know what we like. The food we make is the kind of stuff we eat at home. There’s nothing hidden about it. We just cook and hope that the guests at the party go home full. It's just a small family business trying to do things right. We don't have a big office or anything, just the kitchen and a lot of work.
