I have my office at 333 Tilak Marg, which is part of the New Lawyers Chambers. It is a busy place to be, especially with the courts nearby. The building itself has that old feeling with long hallways and the sound of footsteps on the stone floors. My room is usually filled with stacks of files and law books that have been there for years. There is not a lot of extra space because of all the paperwork, but that is just how it is when you work in law. I spend a lot of time reading through documents or talking to people who come by with their problems. The morning starts with tea and a look at the schedule for the day. It is often a bit of a rush to get things filed on time, but we manage. The walk from the main gate to the chambers is something I do every single day. You see the same faces around the tea stalls and in the corridors. It is not a polished corporate office by any means, just a practical place where the work gets done. There are always papers to be signed and people waiting to talk. It is a steady way of life here at Tilak Marg, and we just keep at it one file at a time.
