Our place is right in the middle of things at H.No. 2876/77, Gali 4S in Paharganj. If you know this part of Delhi, you know it never really sleeps. There is always a rickshaw or a delivery cart blocking the lane, and we spend a lot of time just coordinating how to get goods in and out of the narrow space. It gets loud and dusty, but that is just Paharganj for you. We handle a lot of import and export stuff under the Jsr Kalki Impex Llp name. It’s mostly paperwork and boxes piled up in the corners. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. Our office is just a couple of rooms where we sit and talk to suppliers or track shipments on old computers. The fan hums all day, and we drink way too much chai while waiting for the trucks to arrive. Sometimes the rain makes the street a mess, and we have to lift everything off the floor. It is just the reality of working in an old neighborhood. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us here, making sure the orders move from one point to another. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking lists. We try to stay organized even when the gali outside is pure chaos. It is a hard way to earn a living but we are used to it.
