Our place is situated at 30 Bengali Market, right on School Lane in Prakash Chambers. It’s a busy part of the city, especially with the school nearby. You can always hear the kids playing or the bells ringing if you listen closely enough. Dharmendra Prasad Mohanty is the name on the door here. We’ve been in Prakash Chambers for some time now. The building is one of those older ones that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow. Being in Bengali Market means there’s always something happening outside. The smells of food from the stalls and the constant chatter of shoppers are just part of the daily routine. School Lane gets quite crowded in the afternoons when the parents come to pick up their children, so we usually try to get our big errands done before then. Inside our space, it’s a bit quieter, though the walls don’t block out everything. We have a simple setup at number 30. It’s mostly just desks and paper and the usual things you’d expect. Sometimes the electricity flickers when it rains hard, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We like being close to the market because everything we need is just a short walk away. It’s a convenient spot for us and we’ve made friends with the neighbors in the other chambers. We don't have much for decoration, just what we need to get through the workday.
