Kishan Samriddh Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is located at house number 137 in the Moh Mori Gate area of Anupshahr. You’ll find us there at Shankar Lal Sharma’s place. It’s an old neighborhood and everyone is pretty much involved in farming one way or another. We set this up because we saw a need to coordinate a bit more with the local growers. Anupshahr is a decent place for agriculture, but it’s tough to do it all on your own. We aren't a big corporation with suits and ties. Mostly, we’re just guys in dusty clothes talking about soil and seeds. We spend a lot of time at the gate area, which stays fairly active throughout the day. Shankar Lal’s son is usually around helping out with the management stuff. We try to keep the books straight, though it’s a lot of work when you have so many different farmers involved. Every season brings a different challenge, whether it’s too much rain or not enough. We just take it day by day. People come by the house to ask questions or drop off paperwork. It feels more like a community gathering than a business most of the time. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on word of mouth and being present in the neighborhood. It’s a simple life, but it’s our life and we stick to it.
