You can find us at 142 Tanda Road, specifically in the Tahirapur area of Lodipur, Akberpur. It’s a bit out of the main way, but that works for us because we need the space for the agro stuff. Devdham Agro is basically a group of local farmers trying to do things better. We handle a lot of the grains and pulses that come out of the fields around here. The building is old and the paint is peeling a bit, but it does the job. There is always a lot of dust from the Tanda Road because of the trucks passing by. We start our day when the sun comes up and usually don't finish until it’s dark. It is hard work, especially during harvest time. We don't have any fancy tech, just some scales and a few old computers to keep track of who brought what. Our families have been farming in Lodipur for generations, so we know the cycles of the seasons. Sometimes we have meetings under the big tree outside because it is cooler than being indoors. We talk about seed quality and how to get the water where it needs to go. It is a very basic life, centered around the soil and the weather. We are just trying to make sure the food we grow gets to the market without too much waste and everyone gets their share of the earnings.
