We are a group of farmers from Sabalpur, which is near Dibai. Our formal name is Dorilal Gayanvati Farmers Producer Company Limited. We run things out of Mukesh Chand’s place in the village. It’s a busy spot where people are always coming and going. Most of us are just regular people who have spent our whole lives in Sabalpur working the fields. We aren't a corporate business with a lot of money. We just have our land and our tools. We put this company together because we wanted a way to organize our farming better. It’s hard to deal with the markets on your own, so we do it as a group now. We spend a lot of time talking about what to plant and when the best time to harvest is. It’s a lot of practical talk. We don't use fancy words or have big ideas about the future. We just want to make sure our farms stay healthy. Sometimes the weather is good to us and sometimes it’s not. We just take whatever comes our way. Dibai is where we go for most of our supplies. We’ve known the people there for years. This is just a group of neighbors trying to help each other out. We don't have any promotional stuff to say. We just work the ground and try to keep our families fed and happy in our village.
