Sangwa Restaurant

Jaipur Road is busy most days. We sit here right across from Manda Motors. It gets dusty from all the trucks. You see the cars going by toward the city center or heading out of Bikaner. Near Vesta Palace, the road is wide but the traffic is really something else. We open up, sweep the front, and get things ready every morning. It’s not fancy. The walls have some marks and the chairs are just regular chairs. My family has been around Bikaner for a while now. We know the 334001 area well. It’s hot in the summer, really hot. We keep the fans running all day long. Sometimes the electricity flickers, but that’s just how it is here. Most people stopping by are just looking for a seat and something simple. We don't do those big advertisements. People find us because we are right there on the main road. I spend a lot of time looking out at the street. You see the same delivery vans every morning. It's a routine. I don't think much about being a business owner, I just come here and do what needs doing. We keep the water cold and the floor clean enough. If you’re passing Manda Motors, you’ll see our sign. It’s a bit faded from the sun. Bikaner is a tough place for paint to stay bright. We just stay open and wait for the next person to walk in through the door.
