Bishnoi Restaurant

We opened Bishnoi Restaurant on Medical College Road because there are always people walking around this part of Bikaner. Most of our customers are students from the college or people visiting the hospital nearby. It gets very busy around lunchtime. I usually get in early to start the stove and get the vegetables chopped. We don't have a huge menu, just the usual things people like to eat when they are hungry and in a hurry. The chairs are wooden and maybe a bit old now, but they work fine. Sometimes the tea runs out faster than we expect, so we have to make a fresh pot every hour. Bikaner heat is no joke, so we try to keep the fans running all day long. My brother helps out with the serving while I handle the kitchen. It is a small place, and it can get a bit loud when the students start talking all at once. We’ve been at this spot for a few years and seen many batches of doctors come and go. The walls have some marks on them from moving tables around, but that is just how it is in a busy shop. We don't do anything fancy with the plating, just good portions on the plate for a fair price. If you walk down Medical College Road, you’ll see our sign. It is just a simple eating house for everyone in the neighborhood.
