MAA Shakti Bhojnalaya

You can find us right near the railway station in Deshnoke. We are also very close to the Karani Mata Mandir, which means a lot of people pass by our door every single day. Being in Bikaner, it gets quite hot, so we try to keep the place as comfortable as we can for people coming in off the trains or after visiting the temple. It is a simple setup here at MAA Shakti Bhojnalaya. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just a place to sit and have a meal. The morning starts with getting the stove going and making sure we have enough fresh ingredients for the day ahead. People are usually in a hurry to catch their next train or get to the mandir, so we try to get the food out without making them wait too long. It is mostly just local food that people are used to eating at home. We have been here in Deshnoke for some time now and we know most of the people who work around the station area. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, so we are always wiping down the tables. It is a busy life running a bhojnalaya near a station, but it keeps us on our toes. We just do what we do every day, starting early and closing up late after the last train crowd leaves.
