Jaswant Vilas Restaurant & Camp

You can find Jaswant Vilas Restaurant & Camp out on the Bikaner Jaisalmer Highway. We are located on National Highway 15 near the Civil Lines area. Being out on the highway means we see a lot of different travelers passing through Bikaner every day. We have the restaurant and we also have the camp setup for people who want to stay for a night or two. It gets a bit dusty out here sometimes because of the road and the wind, but that is just how the desert is. We have plenty of space, which is nice compared to being stuck in the middle of the city. I spend a lot of my time making sure the tents are in good shape and the kitchen has enough supplies coming in from the main town. It is a bit of a drive to get things sometimes when we run out. We do not go for anything too posh or high-end. The food is simple and meant for people who have been driving their cars or trucks all day long. The evenings are usually the best time here when the air finally cools down a bit. We do not do much advertising at all. Most of our guests are just people who saw our sign from the road and decided to pull over. It is a family-run thing and we all pitch in. It is a quiet life mostly. (248 words)
