Vishvas Public School

Our school is tucked away on Behman Road, which is the link road way from the railway station in Bhatinda. Because we are near the tracks, you can often hear the trains passing by in the distance. It is a regular part of our day at Vishvas Public School. The building is easy to find if you are coming from the station. We have a lot of students who walk here from the nearby colonies. The hallways are simple, with posters that the kids made themselves. We do not have a huge budget for fancy decorations, so we use what we have. The desks are wooden and have been used by many students over the years. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the school, and it gets quite bright. We spend a lot of time out in the yard during the cooler months. Our staff handles everything from the office work to helping out in the lunchroom. It is a practical place. We do not use big words to describe ourselves. We are just a school for the local families. The road outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, which happens a lot in this part of Punjab. We just keep the windows closed and keep going with the lessons. It is a steady, everyday kind of place where everyone knows everyone else. We have been part of this neighborhood for a long time now.
