People around Kheta Singh Basti know us well since we're right by the Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Power Plant area. Being in Bathinda, we get that specific kind of weather where it’s either really dusty or quite cold. Pvs Public School isn't a massive complex, but it’s got enough room for the kids to move about. The street outside gets quite busy in the mornings with cycles and rickshaws dropping off students. We usually have a few staff members standing near the entrance just to see who’s coming in. The building itself has seen a lot of seasons. You might notice some paint peeling here or there, but we try to keep the classrooms decent. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of teachers explaining math or reading out stories. We don’t use any high-tech gadgets for everything; sometimes a chalkboard and a good book are enough. During the lunch break, the smell of home-cooked parathas fills the hallways. It’s a very local feel here. We’ve had families send all their children to us over the years, which makes the place feel more like a community than just a building. We just do our bit every day without making a big fuss about it. Bathinda is a tough place sometimes with the heat, but the kids are used to it and so are we. We just keep things moving along steadily.
