Kendriya Vidyalaya 4

Kendriya Vidyalaya 4 is located right on the Main Road in Bathinda Cantt, very close to the NH-Chandigarh highway. Being inside the Cantonment area means the surroundings are usually kept quite clean and orderly. We have a lot of students from military families who might only stay with us for a few years before moving to a new posting, so we are very used to welcoming new faces into our classrooms. The school building follows the typical design you see for many KVs, with long corridors and plenty of windows to let in the breeze. It’s a big site with a large area for the morning assembly and sports activities. The sound of traffic from the nearby highway is always there in the background, but the kids don't seem to notice it much once they are in their lessons. The teachers come from all sorts of places across the country, which gives the school a bit of a diverse feel. We don't use any slick marketing language or try to sound like a private corporate school. We just follow the standard curriculum and focus on getting the work done. The classrooms are simple with standard desks and blackboards. It gets quite hot during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. It’s a busy, functional place that serves the needs of the families living in the Bathinda Cantt area.
