Sri Mahadevi Grains

If you walk down the main road near the Marwadi Dharamshala, you will find our place. We deal in grains, so the smell of rice and wheat is always around. It is a very old-school way of doing things. We have bags of grain stacked up high, and there is usually a layer of fine dust on everything. The building isn't much to look at, just a sturdy place to keep the stock dry and safe. We spend a lot of time weighing things and moving heavy sacks around. It keeps us in shape, though it is hard on the back after a few hours. The main road is always busy with trucks and carts, and we are right there in the middle of it. We don't use any fancy technology for most of what we do. It is mostly hand-written ledgers and a lot of talking to people face-to-face. Sometimes it gets really hot in the warehouse, but we just open the big doors to let whatever breeze there is come through. We see a lot of people passing by who are staying at the Dharamshala. We have been doing this for years, and not much has changed in our daily routine. We wake up, open the shutters, and start moving the bags. It is a quiet, steady life without any need for big advertisements or corporate meetings.
