Pappanga Pahad Women Farmers Producercompany Limited is located in the Bheden area of Bargarh. We run things from Garvana village, and we use Santosh Danta’s place as a point of contact. This is a group made up of women farmers from around here. Bargarh is a major agricultural hub, and we are right in the middle of it. We spend most of our time out in the fields, dealing with whatever the season throws at us. Whether it is the intense heat or the heavy monsoon rains, the work has to happen. We formed this company to have a bit more control over how we sell our crops. It’s not always easy to manage everything, especially when you have a household to look after as well, but we make it work. The office in Garvana is where we keep our books and talk about the challenges we are facing. We don't have a big team of experts; it is just us local women who know the soil. We focus on the practical side of farming rather than anything fancy. It’s a lot of physical labor, and sometimes we don't get the results we hoped for, but that’s just how farming goes. We are just trying to improve things for ourselves and our families in this part of Bargarh. Everyone knows Santosh Danta’s place, so it is a good landmark for us to meet up.
