Our operation is situated along the Banda Babe Road in Tindwari, specifically at Beti Devi’s. We are a group of farmers who decided to combine our efforts to make the work a bit more manageable. Most people in this part of the district know how tough the ground can be and how much the heat affects the harvest. We aren't a big corporation with many branches. We’re just right here in Tindwari. We spend our mornings checking the rows and our afternoons dealing with the logistics of getting things to market. The house on the road serves as our meeting point where we keep the registers and talk about what seeds we should be buying. It gets pretty loud sometimes when everyone is trying to have their say, but that’s how things get decided around here. We don’t use any complicated systems. It’s all based on what we see in the fields and what we’ve learned over the years. Some days the water pump breaks or the transport doesn't show up, and we just have to find a way to fix it ourselves. It's a very hands-on kind of business. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We’re just local farmers trying to make sure we can keep our farms going for another season. If you pass by the road, you’ll probably see us working or loading up some sacks. It’s just the daily life for us here, nothing more and nothing less for the local community.
