You can find us on Pooranpur Road, in the village of Banda. We’re at Urvesh Kumar’s place. Saptpuri Farmer Producer Company Limited is the name we use for all the official stuff. Banda is a good spot for us. It’s right near the main road, so farmers can stop by on their way to or from the fields. Urvesh has been here a long time, so everyone knows the house. We don’t have any big signs or posters. We just have a small space where we keep the books and meet with the members. Most days it’s just us talking about the grain or the seeds. It’s very quiet on this road most of the time. We aren’t a huge corporation. Just a local group trying to manage the farming side of things better. Pooranpur Road gets a bit busy with tractors during harvest season. We keep an eye on everything from our little office. It’s practical work. We don't use a lot of big words. If a farmer has a question, we answer it. If there’s paperwork for the government, we fill it out. It’s just daily life for us in Banda. We’ve been doing this for a bit now and it seems to be working out okay for the local families. There’s a small shop near Urvesh’s house where we get our snacks. Banda is a small community, but we all look out for each other. Sometimes the phone signal isn't very good, so we have to walk out to the road to make a call.
