We’ve been farming around Bari Bara for a long time now. My name is one of the folks here at Guru Ram Dass Farmers Producer Company Limited. We use Sardar Karma Singh’s place as our main spot, right at number 01 in the Banda area. It’s a busy place most mornings. Farmers from around here come by to figure out how we can sell our stuff together so we don’t get a bad deal. Being in Banda, we have our own way of doing things. It isn't always easy, and sometimes we argue about the best way to handle the stock, but that’s just how it goes when everyone cares about their land. We are not some big corporate group from the city. We are just local people who know what it’s like to work in the sun all day. We handle things like seeds and making sure everyone has what they need for the season. The address at Spnkartar Singh is where you can find us if you need to talk. We don’t have fancy brochures or a big website that looks perfect. We just have our names and our work. It started because a few of us sat down and realized we were stronger if we didn’t try to do everything alone. Now we have this company and we are just trying to make it work for everyone involved in the Bari Bara area. It is a very practical setup and we like it that way.
