Trimbak Farmer Producer Company Limited is situated in Village Palra, which is in the Tindwari block of Banda. If you know this part of Uttar Pradesh, you know it gets incredibly hot here during the summer months. Our office is right there in the village, nothing fancy at all, just a simple building where we store some samples and keep our books. We focus on the farmers in the Palani area. Most of the folks here have small plots of land, and they grow whatever the season allows. We spend a lot of time talking about irrigation because water is always on everyone's mind in Banda. We are not experts in business, we are just people who grew up on these farms and decided to register a company to make things a bit more official for the group. There is no receptionist or a lobby to wait in. You just walk in and find someone to talk to, usually sitting on a wooden bench. Usually, there is some jaggery and water for anyone who stops by after working in the sun. We handle the paperwork for the group, try to get better prices for the pulses and grains, and generally just look out for each other. It’s honest work, and it takes up all our time.
