Kumarpur Ratti Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our company is based in Kumarpur Ratti, and we use Gurdeep Singh and Gurbux Singh’s place as our main hub. It’s out in the Banda district. We call ourselves Kumarpur Ratti Farmers Producer Company Limited, which is a bit of a mouthful, but it covers what we are. We are just local farmers trying to get by. Most days you can find a few of us sitting around at the address, talking about the crops or the price of diesel. It’s a tough business, farming. You never know if the rain will come or if the pests will be bad this year. By working together as a producer company, we can buy things in bulk and maybe save a little money. We aren't corporate people with suits and ties. We are the ones out in the dirt every day. If you come by the C/O Gurdeep Singh spot, you'll see how we operate. It's very informal. We keep our books as best as we can and try to follow all the government rules for these types of companies. It's mostly about helping each other out so nobody gets left behind when things get hard. We've been at this for a little while now and we are slowly figuring it out. It feels good to have something of our own in Kumarpur Ratti and we hope it keeps helping the local families here.
