Our place is situated right behind the fire brigade station in Ayodhya, specifically near the Durahi Kuaan area. It is a very busy spot in Faizabad these days. Asrs Agro Foods Private Limited is run by us, and we spend most of our time dealing with various food products and the local supply chain. The office is actually at Akhilesh Kumar’s place. It is not a corporate office with fancy glass walls or expensive furniture. It is more of a practical, lived-in space where we get the real work done every morning. Some days the noise from the fire trucks is quite loud but we have all gotten used to it by now. Ayodhya is changing very fast lately with all the new people and visitors coming through. We mostly focus on our daily tasks, like sorting out the bags of grains or checking the quality of what comes in from the farms. The humidity in this part of Uttar Pradesh can be a bit much in July, so we keep the old fans running all day long. We have a very small team, just a handful of local people who know their way around the market. We do not spend any money on fancy advertisements or billboards. Most of our business comes from people who have known our families for many years. It is just an honest way to make a decent living. You will usually find us there early in the morning drinking tea and looking over the delivery schedules for the week.
