We started Satijor Nawabganj Farmer Producer Company Limited because it made sense for us here in Satijorbankashi. Most of our work happens right around Mohd Ibraheem’s place in the village. It is not a big fancy office or anything like that. Just a spot where we gather to figure out the farming stuff for the season. Being in Nwabganj, we see the same faces every day. People stop by the post office and then maybe come over to talk about the crops. Sometimes the rain helps us, sometimes it doesn't, but that is just how it goes when you work with the land. We handle things together as a group. It is better than trying to do everything alone. There is always a lot of noise from the tractors nearby. We don't have a big staff, just local folks who know the dirt and the seeds. It gets dusty in the summer and muddy when the monsoon hits. We just try to get the work done and make sure the produce is okay. Nothing too complicated about it. We have been here for a bit now and everyone in Satijor knows where we are. It is just a regular local operation trying to keep things moving forward for the farmers in this part of the world.
