Mathuraprasad Kisan Unnati Producer Company Limited

We named our group Mathuraprasad Kisan Unnati Producer Company Limited. We are based out of Kaundar Ainjhi in Fatehpur. Arvind Kumar is the person who looks after the address and helps keep things straight. We are just a bunch of guys who have spent our whole lives in the dirt, planting and harvesting. Fatehpur can be a tough place to farm because the weather is always doing something unexpected. We decided to come together because we were all facing the same problems with high costs and low prices. We don't have a marketing team or a strategy. Our plan is just to help each other out. If someone has a good crop, we try to learn from them. If someone is struggling, we see what we can do. It’s mostly about community for us. We meet up when we can, usually near Baundar, to discuss what seeds we should buy or how to fix the irrigation. It’s not glamorous work. Sometimes it’s just frustrating. But being part of this company makes us feel a little more secure. We are just trying to make an honest living from the land our fathers farmed. We aren't looking for anything more than a fair chance to sell our produce and keep our families going. It is simple, really. We just work hard and hope for rain. There isn't much more to tell than that, we are just working people doing our bit.
