Lakhnu Farmer Producer Company Limited

Lakhnu is a quiet place where most of us have spent our whole lives working the dirt. Our group, Lakhnu Farmer Producer Company Limited, started because we needed a way to get things done together instead of everyone just struggling on their own. Sheelendra Singh, who is Khachar Mal’s son, is the one who handles a lot of the coordination from his place right here in the village of Lakhnu. It isn’t a fancy office with big signs or anything like that. Mostly, it is just a spot where people stop by to talk about what we are planting this season or what the weather looks like for the upcoming harvest. We deal with all the usual stuff farmers face, like the rising price of seeds and getting the crops to the market. Sometimes we sit around and just complain about the rain, or the lack of it, which is pretty common here. It’s a group effort, really. We’ve got neighbors from all around the area involved now. We try to keep things simple because that is what we know. There is a lot of paperwork that comes with being a limited company, which can be a real headache for us, but we manage it one day at a time. The goal is just to make sure the folks here get a fair shake for their hard work. It is tough, but being together makes the long days feel shorter. We aren't trying to change the world, just looking after our land.
