Sri Bharathi E.M.U.P.School

If you head down to Pilligundla Colony in Anantapur, you’ll find Sri Bharathi E.M.U.P.School. It’s been part of this neighborhood for a good while. The school is an upper primary place, so we have kids of various ages running around. In the mornings, the street outside gets a bit crowded with cycles and parents dropping off their children. It’s a noisy, lively start to the day. The classrooms are basic, with wooden desks that have been used by many students over the years. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment or high-tech labs. It’s mostly about the books and the teachers explaining things on the blackboards. The playground is just a patch of ground where the kids play during their break time. It gets a bit dusty when they run around, but they don't seem to mind. Anantapur is known for the heat, so we have fans going in every room, though they can be a bit loud. The staff here are mostly local people who have lived in the colony for years. We don’t have a big office or a marketing department. We just focus on the daily lessons and making sure the kids show up on time. It’s a simple, honest school where we do our best with what we have. Sometimes the gate squeaks and the bells are a bit off-key, but it works for us. We just keep the routine going day after day.
