Jawar Bharathi E.M. High School

Jawar Bharathi E.M. High School is located in the Thapovanam area of Anantapur. It is a bit away from the main city noise, which is nice for the students. The weather here in Anantapur can get very hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans are working and the water coolers are full. Our school is an English medium one, but we all speak the local language too when we are just chatting in the halls. The building is a simple structure that has been added to over the years as we needed more space. You can tell which parts are new and which parts have been there since the beginning. We have a decent sized ground where the kids play during their physical education periods. The dust often kicks up, but that is common in this part of the state. Our staff is a mix of older teachers who have been here forever and some younger ones who are just starting out. We don't use any polished language to describe ourselves because we are just a regular school. We have our good days and our busy days where everything seems to go wrong at once. But in the end, we just want to make sure the students get their lessons done and head home safely to their families every afternoon. We put in the work and hope that it helps the kids as they grow up.
