Keshava Reddy E M School

Keshava Reddy E M School is found on the 6th Cross in Sai Nagar, Anantapur. We have been sitting in this spot for quite a while now. The building is a typical school structure with several rooms lined up along the hallways. It is an English Medium school, so most of the books and lessons you see around are in English. The classrooms are filled with the usual wooden benches and desks, and many of them have been used by several generations of students. We have a small open ground in the middle where we hold the morning assembly. You can hear the students reciting their lessons from the street outside when it is quiet. The teachers’ room is usually a bit cluttered with notebooks, pens, and teacups, as that is where everyone gathers during their breaks. We do not have a lot of fancy technology here; we mostly stick to the traditional way of teaching with chalk and boards. Anantapur can get very hot, so we have fans in every room, even if they squeak a little sometimes. Most of the kids who come here live nearby in Sai Nagar, so they walk or come on bicycles. When the final bell rings in the afternoon, there is a big rush for the exit as everyone heads home for the day. It is just a simple, hardworking school that has become a regular part of the local neighborhood over the years.
