Guruji Vidya Mandir High School

We’ve been running Guruji Vidya Mandir High School here in the Dorasanipalli area for quite some time now. If you walk down the road in Proddatur, you’ll find us easily enough. It’s a busy place most mornings when the kids start arriving. Some come on foot from nearby houses and others get dropped off by their parents on scooters. Our building isn't anything fancy, just a solid place where we spend our days teaching and trying to keep things organized. Usually, the teachers are in early to get the boards ready. We have a lot of noise during the breaks, which is normal for a school, I suppose. The staff mostly lives around here too, so we know the families pretty well. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into the front office, but we just sweep it out and keep going. We don’t have a massive campus with stadiums or anything, but there is enough room for the students to move around and do their work. Lately, we've been trying to fix up some of the old desks. It’s a lot of work keeping a school running in this part of Kadapa, but we stay busy with the daily routine of lessons and exams. You’ll mostly see us wearing our everyday clothes, just working through the syllabus. It's just a regular local school where everyone knows everyone else’s name and we just get on with the job of teaching.
