Gandhi Pulse Mill

Gandhi Pulse Mill is located at Plot No. 47/48 in the GIDC Estate. We take up two plots because we need the space for the sacks and the milling equipment. It’s a busy place, especially during the harvest seasons when the trucks are lined up outside. We spend our days processing different kinds of pulses. There is always a fine dust in the air and the sound of the graders running in the background. It’s not a quiet job, but it’s what we know. We’ve been at this for years, and the family has always been involved in one way or another. We don't use any fancy advertising. People know the quality of our pulses by seeing them and cooking with them. The warehouse at Plot 47/48 is where we store everything before it gets sent out to the markets. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when a big order comes in, but we manage to get through it. We aren't a giant corporation; we’re just a local mill trying to do a decent job for the people who buy from us. The estate is a good place for a mill because of the easy access for the big lorries. We start early and usually finish when the last bag is stacked. It’s just how life is here at the mill.
