Carpet Enterprises

You can find us right on Near National Inter College, Gyanpur Road, and it’s a good spot because everyone knows where the college is. Carpet Enterprises is basically a workshop and a storage area full of stacks of rugs and rolls of material. It smells like wool and old wood in here, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We aren't a big corporation with a marketing team; it’s mostly just me and a few local workers who have a knack for the trade. We spend a lot of time on our knees checking the weaves or moving heavy stacks around to find a specific pattern. It’s hard on the back, but it’s what we do. The front door stays open most of the day to let in some air, even when the dust from the road blows in. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that. Most people just hear about us from their neighbors or see our sign when they are driving toward the college. Sometimes we sit on the steps in the evening and watch the students head home. It’s a quiet way to run a business. We just make sure the carpets are ready when we say they will be. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy enough throughout the seasons. We usually close up right as the sun starts to go down.
