Running a place like Kirmy Biscuits & Chemical Industries Ltd. means we have a bit of a strange mix of things going on. We are located at unit 130 in the GIDC Estate over in Vithal. If you look for our mail, it mostly goes to P. O. Box 25 because the internal roads can be a bit confusing for the postman. The building itself is quite large since we handle different types of production. On one side, you might get the faint smell of baking, and then on the other, it’s more like an industrial workshop. We have a lot of workers coming in for the different shifts, and the yard is usually full of trucks loading up. It is an old-fashioned way of working, with a lot of manual labor and heavy machinery. We don't spend much time in the office part of the building because there is always something to check on the floor. The floors are concrete and a bit worn down from all the pallets being moved around. We just focus on getting the daily batches done and making sure the machines don’t break down in the middle of a run. It’s a lot of heat and noise, especially in the summer months. We don’t have a fancy corporate structure. Most of us just wear our work clothes and get our hands dirty alongside everyone else. It’s a practical environment where things just need to get done.
