Mahape is a busy place, especially where we are on Plot No. 50/2. The TTC industrial area is huge and it feels like a city on its own. Every morning there is a rush at the station and people walking toward their units. Our facility is quite large and we have a lot of machines running most of the time. It gets pretty loud inside so you have to speak up to be heard. We handle a lot of paper and ink, so there's always that specific smell in the air. The office is tucked away in one corner of the building where it’s a bit quieter. We spend a lot of time checking the prints and making sure the counts are correct. It’s not the kind of place you’d visit for fun, it’s all business and work. The MIDC roads can be a bit rough during the monsoon but we manage. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know the rhythm of the place. We have a small canteen area where everyone sits together during the break. It’s funny how you get used to the constant hum of the equipment after a while. We don't have much time for small talk during the peak hours because there's always a deadline or a truck waiting to be loaded. It’s just how things are in this part of Navi Mumbai and we are used to it.
