About Podar International School – Education in Anand
We are over here on 100 Feet Road in Anand. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of the traffic coming through this part of town. The school building has been around for a while now. Most days start pretty early when the buses pull in. You can hear the noise from the road even when the gates are shut. We spend a lot of time just keeping things moving. There’s a lot of paperwork and making sure the classrooms are ready for the morning. The kids come from all over Anand, so it gets pretty crowded around the entrance during drop-off. We have some trees in the yard, but the sun gets really hot by noon. Most of the teachers live nearby, so they walk or take scooters. Inside, it's just regular classrooms with desks and boards. Nothing fancy, just a place where things happen every day. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out. It’s a job like any other, but you get used to the rhythm of the bells and the kids running in the halls. People know where we are because of the big road. We don't really do much besides the day-to-day stuff. It's just a school in the middle of a growing city. We keep the gates locked during the day for safety, and then everyone heads home once the final bell rings around three. It’s a long day for most of us here. It takes a lot of patience to deal with the heat and the constant activity.
