Shri Swami Vivekanand Vidhyalay is located right in Jhalod. If you are in the Dahod district, you probably know where we are. It is a school for the local children. We have been working here for years, just managing the classes and seeing the students grow up. The school day starts pretty early. We have a gate that gets crowded with kids in the morning. It’s a simple setup. We have the standard subjects and teachers who have been with us for a long time. Dahod - 389170 is our home. Sometimes the roof needs a bit of work after the rains, but we manage. It’s not about being the biggest school, just about being here for the community in Jhalod. We see the same families year after year. Brothers and sisters follow each other through the grades. We keep our records in big ledgers and spend a lot of time in the staff room planning out the next week. The bells ring for every period, and you can hear the kids reciting their work from the street. It is a loud place during the breaks. We don't have a lot of extra staff, so everyone chips in with the cleaning and organizing. It’s just how we do things here. We are part of the daily life in this town, nothing more and nothing less. The morning prayers are part of the routine we follow every single day.
